No. Your employer sees that a claim was paid, not what it was for. Substance use treatment records are protected under a federal rule called 42 CFR Part 2, which is stricter than HIPAA. It exists because people were avoiding treatment out of fear a record could be used against them. Nothing is shared without your written permission, and there's no waiting room to be seen in, because there's no building.
Not the way people expect. Treatment starts at home, on a schedule built around when you're actually free. If anything needs to happen in person, they'll tell you on the call before you commit to anything.
No. Finding out what your insurance covers and deciding to start treatment are two different decisions, and today you only have to make one of them. Plenty of people check long before they're ready.
One of two things. If we don't offer treatment in your area, we'll tell you that and point you toward other options. If we do, you'll get a phone number. Someone picks up, goes over your coverage and what's available, and answers your questions. Nothing is decided until you decide it.
It depends on your plan. Many people find that most or all of it is covered by the behavioral health part of their benefits, which is the part they didn't know was there. Your actual cost gets confirmed on the call, before you commit to anything.
